Diversity, equity, and inclusion

Our commitment:

At Körber we want to put diversity into practice, and we believe in the advantages of a diverse company. This means that people with different backgrounds and different perspectives work together effectively at Körber and that all the employees contribute to our business success.

I believe that putting diversity into practice means being creative. The more diverse the experiences of the team members, the more universal the questions, advice, and ideas will be for each topic — and that always leads to the best result in the end.

Erich Hoch, Group COO & CTO, Körber AG

Goal:

We are creating a diverse, inclusive, and fair corporate culture.

What we have planned:

The topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion should be considered in all of our corporate decisions and in the future orientation of Körber, and they should be firmly embedded in the consciousness of all our employees. Accordingly, this awareness must be raised at all levels of the organization. In this context the human resources function in particular has a crucial task, because it hires and develops employees and gives them advanced training regarding this important transformative element of leadership.

What we have achieved to date:

One of our newly introduced leadership principles is “We celebrate diverse perspectives.” It forms the basis of everything we do to create a diverse, inclusive, and fair corporate culture. For example, we launched a mentoring program that has equal numbers of men and women and also connects people of different ages and ethnic groups. We have also defined and created identity groups to promote the sharing of ideas within these teams. Diversity, equity, and inclusion will also be equally important in the future when it comes to the recruitment, advanced training and promotion of employees.

  • We promote all aspects of diversity, especially nationality and gender
  • Increasing the proportion of diversity at different employment levels compared to the status quo (nationality, gender)
  • 9%¹ of the employees have a first or second nationality that differs from that of the country where their Körber facility is located
  • 19.7%¹ female employees; 14.3%¹ female employees in managerial positions

¹ Excluding temporary workers and taking into account 30 companies that are connected to success factors and represent approximately 62.9% of our employees
