Uelzena and Körber launch final SAP transformation phase
Uelzena and Körber enter the final phase of a multi-site SAP S/4HANA transformation, implementing SAP EWM at the Uelzen headquarters for 2027 go-live.

Hamburg, 29 September 2026. With the implementation of the SAP EWM business blueprint for the Uelzen site, the Uelzena Group’s S/4HANA transformation is entering its final phase. Since 2020, Körber has been supporting the dairy cooperative in migrating the logistics processes across all sites to SAP EWM and SAP TM. The transformation is scheduled to be completed with the planned go-live at the Uelzen headquarters in 2027.
Uelzena is one of Germany’s largest dairy companies. Each year, around 750 million kilograms of raw milk from regional suppliers are processed into a broad product portfolio sold under brands such as Butaris, Buti and Scho to both wholesale and retail customers. This results in a highly complex logistics landscape for the cooperative, which Körber has been supporting for almost 20 years and is now gradually modernizing its software landscape.
As early as 2020, Uelzena migrated its central SAP system at its headquarters in Uelzen as well as its subsidiaries Altmark Käserei in Bismark and Schoppe & Schulz in Ratzeburg to SAP S/4HANA. Subsequently, Körber gradually replaced the classic logistics modules SAP LE-WM and LE-TRA with SAP EWM and SAP TM on a site-by-site basis, integrating them into quality management and production supply processes. In 2022, embedded SAP EWM was introduced at Altmark Käserei; in 2024, Schoppe & Schulz migrated from WM to EWM. In 2026, transportation management was migrated to embedded SAP TM, bringing transport logistics onto a modern platform as well.
As part of the final project phase now underway to implement SAP EWM at the Uelzen headquarters, an additional K.OneX PMS system, consisting of a warehouse management system and material flow control, will be connected to Körber’s existing automated high-bay warehouse. “The continued digitalization of our logistics processes is the next milestone in our collaboration with Körber, a partner that not only understands the SAP system landscape but also the specific requirements and logistics processes of a dairy cooperative,” said Robert Dömland, Head of Logistics at Uelzena eG.
