Innovation
Misplaced Item Clearer (MIC)
The innovative MIC helps manage misplaced items on cross-belt sorters.
- Smaller and lighter e-commerce items sometimes shift during induction: rolling or tilting from the belt, and landing on the cover between the cross-belt.
- Using an intelligent sensor system, the MIC detects parcels lying on cover plates and uses compressed air to automatically move them into a designated outlet—with no interruptions. Consignments can then continue on to immediate processing.
- MIC is installed at the cross-belt sorter itself, and is incorporated quickly and easily, with no system IT integration needed. This avoids delays, saves costs, and circumvents capacity constraints.
