Misplaced Item Clearer - MIC
The innovative Misplaced Item Clearer (MIC) uses sensors to detect misplaced shipments on a cross-belt sorter. MIC uses compressed air to automatically blow these items from the sorter into a designated outlet. Consignments can then be processed immediately without needing to interrupt sorter operations. This translates into an even better compliance with service level agreements, thereby reducing compensation payments for delayed shipments, and into higher satisfaction for end customers. MIC can be easily and quickly integrated. The device is installed on the sorter itself, independently from the sorter manufacturer and without integration into the system’s IT.
