Every year, Hauni presents the Ulrich Riegger Memorial Award to honour outstanding innovations. In December, the inventors of EYEPORT, the modular measuring system, were the delighted recipients of this coveted award.
The EYEPORT
“In the rod-making area, the measurements take place in the modules directly before the endless rods are cut. In the drum area, however, the sensor units are responsible for measuring the finished products. The measurement data are processed and passed on to the control system: this identifies and ejects substandard products,” explains Karolina Kolanko, Product Manager Sensors/Lasers at Hauni. “The system can be flexibly adapted to customers’ further requirements. The modular design also significantly reduces the time to market for new measurement functions.”

... is named after the Hauni pioneer and has been awarded annually since 1968 to honour the best patented invention of the year.
