Körber removes complexity in mixed palletizing
Körber introduces MixPal, automating mixed palletizing for medium-throughput warehouses with less space and manual effort.

Hamburg, June 2 2026 - For distribution centers that operate with several stock keeping units (SKUs) and a need for store-specific pallets, Körber now introduces a flexible pallet to mixed pallet solution aimed at medium-throughput distribution centers and warehouses.
With a new mixed palletizing solution, Körber addresses the most labor-intensive bottleneck in distribution centers and warehouses with their MixPal.
The MixPal system is a direct pallet-to-mixed pallet solution that reduces the need for complex and expensive intermediate steps such as depalletizing, buffering and retrieving, and allows for mixing pallets with different SKUs. A perfect fit for Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Food & Beverage, and 3PLs.
“Any distribution center familiar with building store-ready pallets with dozens of different products knows that this is an intense manual labor task. Our MixPal completely automates this process and builds pallets with multiple SKUs optimized for store-ready,” said Jan Kristensen, Head of R&D at Körber Business Area Supply Chain.
A space and cost reduction
Using a mix of proven technology such as AMR's and Körber’s Gantry system with state-of-the-art vision systems and software, Körber’s mixed palletizing solution is a direct pallet-to-pallet solution. This eliminates the need for depalletizing, storage, and conveying of single boxes.
AMRs move the pallets around and place them under the gantry solution, allowing cases to be picked directly from the arriving pallets and placed on the order pallet. With no need for storage or conveying, the solution requires little space and is cost-effective even for smaller warehouses.
“We are helping the thousands of medium-sized warehouses and distribution centers that face labor challenges but cannot justify the investment in a full-scale automation solution. Due to the small footprint of this modular and flexible installation, it is suitable for smaller facilities and can be implemented fast in existing warehouses as well as in greenfield projects,” Kristensen explains.
Data-driven insights powered by AI
Any distribution center faced with the challenge of shipping more SKU's in ever smaller quantities can benefit from the MixPal. The solution that can handle up to 800 cases per hour per Gantry system, uses an intelligent AI-based solution that automatically ensures stable, safe, and retailer-compliant pallets.
The AI-powered picking and digitally enabled solution also provides data-driven insights into the operations.
“Reducing the labor-intensive bottlenecks provides a sound business case for most warehouses that need to create store-ready mixed pallets. On top of that comes Körber’s digital enablement tools that provide valuable data and insights on all operations. We don’t just remove a bottleneck, we provide new opportunities to finetune operations,” Kristensen states.
Körber introduced the MixPal solution at LogiMAT 2026 demonstrating how medium-throughput warehouses can implement store-ready pallet automation quickly and efficiently.
