Hamburg, 15 October 2026 – Körber’s 2026 group-wide donation campaign supports projects in the areas of the environment, social, and governance—in the company’s 80th anniversary year. In addition, employees participated in the first global Körber Social Week.

The global technology company Körber has awarded a total of 80,000 euros to seven nonprofit organizations as part of its annual donation campaign. Körber’s employees voted to select the organizations. Support was provided for projects in the three sustainability dimensions of environment, social, and governance, as well as in a special category focused on clean water. The donation campaign was complemented by the first global Körber Social Week: At five locations worldwide, employees volunteered for social and environmental projects in their respective communities.

Körber employees decide who receives support

When allocating donations, Körber deliberately relies on broad employee participation: While the thematic areas and a shortlist of organizations are determined centrally, the final decision on where the money goes rests with the employees. In 2026, the selection in the “Environment” category went to the IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare) and the Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU); in the “Social” category, to Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe and Mary’s Meals Germany; and in the “Governance” category, to the Aktionsgemeinschaft Solidarische Welt and the World Future Council. Each of these six organizations received 10,000 euros.

In a special category, employees also selected a United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) to support an organization with 20,000 euros. The choice fell on SDG 6—clean water and sanitation—and thus on the organization Water Is Right.

“The donation amount has special significance in 2026: Körber is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year and therefore donated 80,000 euros. Our founder Kurt A. Körber was already convinced that business success and social responsibility go hand in hand, and we are continuing this tradition through initiatives such as our annual donation campaign,” says Henriette Viebig, EVP Körber Brand & Communications.

In addition, individual Körber Business Areas conduct their own regional fundraising campaigns each year, focusing on local organizations.

Personal engagement as the second pillar: the first Körber Social Week

In addition to financial support, Körber also relies on the personal commitment of its employees. In September 2026, the first global Körber Social Week took place: At five locations—in Dallas (U.S.), Hamburg (Germany), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Pécs (Hungary), and Maia (Portugal)—colleagues got involved in social and environmental projects for their local communities.

In Dallas, volunteers helped the Community Enrichment Center with a food drive and put together food packages for more than 350 families in need. In Hamburg, employees and trainees volunteered at four nonprofit organizations, including Die ARCHE, the Rauhe Haus, the Loki Schmidt Foundation, and Wildtierhilfe Looki e. V. In Kuala Lumpur, the focus was on collecting batteries and clothing for recycling and proper disposal. In Pécs, the team continued to revitalize a public green space; near Porto, employees supported the organization Porta Solidária do Marquês in distributing meals.

The donation campaign and Social Week follow the same principle: A common, Körber-wide framework provides guidance, while the actual implementation—whether coordinating with the charity or selecting the volunteer project—is left to the local employees. “For Körber, social engagement has been an integral part of our corporate identity for 80 years and is a core component of our sustainability initiatives,” says Henriette Viebig.
