Körber introduces K.InspectionTwin

Markt Schwaben, December 8, 2025 – Körber announces the global launch of its K.InspectionTwin, designed for digital, efficient, and flexible development of vision inspection recipes. The solution focuses on optimizing inspection processes in pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing.

Built on a cloud-based virtual twin of automated inspection machines, K.InspectionTwin replicates full software functionality and operates with real production data. This approach enables faster and more resource-efficient development and optimization of vision recipes—without interfering with ongoing production.

High-fidelity virtual simulation interface

K.InspectionTwin simulates the entire inspection process using real image data and provides an interface identical to the physical machine. This allows specialists to work directly in a virtual environment and benefit from the flexibility of remote access.

In pharmaceutical and biotech production, vision recipes can now be developed without production downtime. Existing parameters can also be optimized based on production and image data. Manufacturers gain significant advantages, including fewer physical tests, improved detection rates, and accelerated time-to-market. In fact, downtime can be reduced by several weeks per recipe development cycle.

Reducing the number of physical tests and the resulting shorter development cycles also helps conserve production resources over the long term. In addition to lowering energy consumption per development cycle, the solution enables optimized material usage—for example, by minimizing the physical test batches required. Overall, fewer on-site interventions are needed, which reduces travel expenses and machine access requirements.
