Access road completed: Körber new building in Hamburg moves into next phase
Max Bögl Group appointed general contractor.

With the completion of the access road, a key infrastructure requirement for the construction of the new site of Körber’s Technologies business area in the Bergedorf Innovation Park has been fulfilled. With the Max Bögl Group as general contractor, a strong partner is in place to realize this forward-looking project together with Körber.
The newly constructed access road connects Curslacker Neuer Deich on the A25 motorway directly to the Körber Hamburg construction site in the new Bergedorf Innovation Park. In addition to providing transport access, the road also ensures the supply of essential utilities to the site, including electricity, water, wastewater, and telecommunications. Furthermore, the access road has been designed to accommodate heavy construction traffic.
This paves the way for the next phase of the project, which is progressing according to schedule: the Max Bögl Group, acting as general contractor, will begin construction work on the 70,000-square-meter site, initially preparing the ground with sand fill. Max Bögl is one of Germany’s leading construction companies, with around 6,500 employees across 40 locations worldwide. Headquartered in Sengenthal near Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate region, the company has nearly 100 years of experience in construction and is known for delivering innovative and sustainable building projects.
A strong team for a forward-looking project
“We are very pleased that the access road has been completed and that we have thus reached another important milestone. With the Max Bögl Group as a strong partner, we are confident that the Körber Hamburg new build will be implemented efficiently and on schedule. The new site will not only strengthen Körber’s Technologies business area and prepare it for the future, but will also be a central component of the Bergedorf Innovation Park,” says Dr. Stefan Hofmann, Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Management Board of Körber Technologies GmbH.
The Körber Hamburg new build will consolidate the existing sites of Körber Technologies GmbH at Kurt A. Körber Chaussee and Weidenbaumsweg in Hamburg-Bergedorf, as well as in Schwarzenbek (Schleswig-Holstein). The modern and sustainable complex will comprise nearly 50,000 square meters of building space, housing administration, development, production, and logistics facilities built to the latest standards. Completion of the Körber Hamburg new build is planned for early 2027.
Körber Technologies GmbH is the headquarters of the Körber Technologies business area, one of four business segments of the international technology group Körber.
