The signing of the contract to install a second automated storage facility is driven by BigBlue's expanding business needs, requiring increased storage capacity to meet growing customer demands. Leveraging its expertise, Körber is planning to deliver a comprehensive solution tailored to BigBlue's requirements, aiming at facilitating the company's growth in the competitive market landscape.
Key features of Körber's solution will include an automated high bay warehouse equipped with advanced technologies to optimize storage efficiency and streamline order-picking operations. The facility is planned to ensure seamless goods transport and boast a storage capacity exceeding 30,000 pallet locations. The solution will include five units of double deep pallet stacker cranes, a sophisticated multi-floor conveyor and lifter system as well as interfloor pallet lifters.
Another planned solution will be Körber's Warehouse Execution System (WES) that seamlessly integrates with BigBlue's SAP Hana platform, leading to real-time visibility and control over warehouse operations. This integration will empower BigBlue with actionable insights to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction in the future.
Körber’s automated solutions will enable BigBlue to efficiently utilize land space, optimizing storage density per square meter. Automation will eliminate manual handling in sub-zero environments, prioritizing safety and well-being. Furthermore, the solution will ensure consistent temperatures, vital for maintaining product integrity and operational efficiency.
