Körber signs strategic agreement with Chinese biopharma leader Anrate
Together with Anrate, Körber will implement the Factory of Excellence, driving innovation in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Tonghua, China, 5 July 2024. Körber signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with Tonghua Anrate Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Anrate"), a pioneering biopharmaceutical company headquartered in China. Mr. Wei Xiang, Managing Director of Anrate, and Mr. Jerry Zheng, Managing Director China of Körber Business Area, among others, attended the signing ceremony.
According to the agreement, Körber will provide Anrate with a series of smart manufacturing and digital transformation solutions, including but not limited to fully automated pharmaceutical machines, production software, digital solutions, comprehensive training as well as technical support services. These solutions will further enhance Anrate's Factory of Excellence level in regards of management operations. By introducing Werum PAS-X MES and Werum PAS-X Savvy, Anrate is expected to build a smart factory that balances compliance and efficiency, achieving interconnection of software and hardware data in all stages of pharmaceutical production, accelerating the company's digital process, thereby promoting high-quality sustainable development in the industry.

The signing of this strategic agreement is an important step for Anrate towards smart manufacturing and also another important investment by Körber in the Chinese market. "New Quality Productivity" is a new goal of industrial manufacturing advocated by the Chinese government. Körber and Anrate will work together to achieve intelligence, efficiency, and green production in the biopharmaceutical industry, and strive to set an example of smart manufacturing in the Chinese pharmaceutical industry.
