Körber Schleifring’s presence this year at the leading international trade fair for the grinding technology sector, GrindTec in Augsburg, was very successful.
With increased participation, a larger exhibition area and a slight rise in the number of visitors, GrindTec was the first machine tool fair to record renewed growth in the wake of the serious economic and industry crisis. Körber Schleifring managed to profit from this to an even greater degree.
While the overall number of trade fair visitors rose only 2 % to 11,250, the Schleifring Group was able to increase the number of so-called leads, that is to say written contact reports, by 43 %. The trade fair stand attracted large numbers of visitors on all four days throughout the event. Schleifring companies sold a total of 30 machines, which is exactly the same number sold in the record year 2008.
